Recent Competitions Sunday 14th March 2010 Members of the General Gymnastics squad competed at the ECAGA General Gymnastics Apparatus Championships Level 1 and 2. It took place at Sims Gymnastics Centre in Peterborough. Viktoria and Sophie judged and coached gymnasts through competitions on four pieces: floor, bench/beam, bars and vault. We were delighted to return to Cambridge with a total of 16 medals – 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze. Well done all and thanks to all the parents and friends who supported the team. Sunday 29th November 2009 Sixteen members of our General Gymnastics squad competed at the ECAGA General Gymnastics Floor and Vault Championships. It took place at Marriotts Gymnastics Club in Stevenage. Viktoria judged and Tibor coached gymnasts through the two piece competition in which the Floor and Vault scores are combined to produce an overall ranking in each age group. The standard of competition was unusually high this year so we were delighted to return to Cambridge with 4 silver medals. Well done all and thanks to all the parents and friends who supported the team. Sunday 5th July 2009 A small group of gymnasts from the Upper Squad competed at the Level 4 and 5 Apparatus Championships having previously qualified by competing at Level 2 Open. They worked very hard for the entire summer term towards this competition. On the day, the standard was high and we were pleased to return to Cambridge with a silver medal and 3 bronze medals. Thanks to Tibor for coaching at the event and to Viktoria and Reni who spent the day judging the vault competition. Well done all and thanks to all the parents and friends who supported the team. The weekend of 28th and 29th March 2009 Twenty
three members of our General Gymnastics squad competed at the ECAGA
General Gymnastics Apparatus Championships Level 1 and 2.
It took place at Sims Gymnastics Centre in Peterborough.
Over the two days, Viktoria, Tibor, Aimee and Sophie judged and coached
gymnasts through competitions on four pieces: floor, bench/beam, bars and
vault. We were delighted to
return to Cambridge with a total of 29 medals – 4 Gold, 13 Silver and
12 Bronze. Well

team. Sunday 9th December 2007 The majority of gymnasts from the 4.30pm and small group from the 5.30pm squad classes competed in the Trampette and Tumbling Regional Championships at Marriotts Gymnastics Club in Stevenage. It was an extremely positive day with 19 gymnasts bringing back 26 medals between them - 11 Gold, 8 Silver and 7 Bronze. Well done to all participants and thanks to Kayleigh for coaching and Viktoria for judging and to all the parents and friends who supported the team. Saturday 17th November 2007 Nine members of the 5.30pm squad class competed in the Recreational Apparatus Regional Finals at Ipswich Gymnastics Centre having qualified to represent the County on at least one piece of apparatus at the County Championships. The majority of other competing gymnasts train at fully fitted gyms so we are extremely proud to report that our nine gymnasts achieved 12 medals between them. This included 5 Golds shared between 4 of our male gymnasts who are now officially Regional Recreational Champions on those pieces of apparatus. Well done to all participants and thanks to Viktoria and Sophie for coaching and to all the parents and friends who supported the team. Sunday 14th October 2007 Many members of the 5.30pm squad class competed in the Recreational Apparatus County Championships at Huntingdon Olympic Gymnastics Club. It is the first time City of Cambridge gymnasts have entered this competition so we were delighted to return to Cambridge with 15 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals and 4 Bronze medals. Thirteen gymnasts came in the top 6 on at least one piece of apparatus and therefore qualify for the Recreational Apparatus Regional Final in Ipswich in November. Well done all and thanks to Kayleigh, Viktoria and Marianne for coaching and judging and to all the parents and friends who supported the team.
